About Tara Hallmark

My parents met working for NASA in Huntsville, Alabama. I was born in Texas and raised in San Antonio—where I grew up scrappy, strong-willed, and determined to chart my own path.

After graduating from Oliver Wendell Holmes High School, I joined the USNavy—proud to be the first woman in my family to serve in the U.S. military. I was honorably discharged and later became a traditional military spouse.

Today, I'm a veteran's wife, a home and land owner, and a peach orchard owner in rural Pulaski County, just outside of Dixon. I'm hoping to patent a peach one day, but in the meantime, I'm focused on making our community a better place.

Values & Vision

I believe in home—and that means safety, security, and opportunity for every neighbor.

My values come from faith, service, and family: love thy neighbor, leave the world better for the next generation, and speak up for what's right.

I stand for:

  • Fair wages and fair taxation

  • Clean air and water

  • Strong support for veterans and military families

  • Investing in local communities, not just surviving but thriving

  • Equality and dignity for all people

  • Strengthen our Public schools systems

  • Ensure access to healthcare for residents of house district 124.

I'm fighting for the folks who get talked over and left behind—working families, retirees, disabled Americans, and anyone who's tired of playing by the rules only to get squeezed harder every year
