Strong communities begin with strong families. I want District 124 to be in a good place where families can build a good life, young people can see a future closer to home and every generations has support to thrive.
Every family should have the opportunity to succeed without feeling they must leave home to find it. I support practical investments in rural hospital systems. Real steps towards building a medical research infrastructure that supports and explores a prosperity that can be realized at home and fulfill needs that have grown larger and larger. A workforce that addresses education, agriculture, small businesses develops a community to grow opportunities for future generations.
The best ideas for our home have not begun in Jefferson City politicians that say one thing and produce antagonistic legislation against taxpaying neighbors, friends and family. We hear, see and know first hand that everything in rural community is built on a different set needs and investments.
Rural Missouri needs accessibility to medical and mental services, emergency rooms. Rural homeowners, small businesses, farmers and working families has rural medical needs. Veteran, military families, fragile youth population and aging population are not just the past and current tax base of our communities. There are specific rural needs that can provide respectful decent opportunities for seniors remaining in their home. Our active or retired military families are recognized specific needs that should resemble the best of America. All of these needs have ripples love for home and neighbors. A chance for youth to stay closer to home and accessible path to medical careers.
Public schools are the heart of rural community. I support strong public education and providing a path for all young people to see a future. The tools available to our children should be tools of success at the highest level and capabilities. To stay and make home better or to be able to compete in the Nation and proudly share their mark and compete fairly to change the direction of their life here in America and at our state taxation.
I support family farms, private property, and property rights. Diverse and overlapping policies enshrined with rural values and growth with our historic military families and employment partnerships that employee our neighbors. I support policies that protect, promote and preserve and economy resources of communities that historically reside next to a military installation, We can have practical policies that help our local economy grow while preserving the values and resources that make District 124 unique. District 124 could lead and map this strong and good concept.
We know that men and women who serve our country- and the families who serve beside them- deserve more than our gratitude and flag waving. They deserve strong communities, access to quality health care, good schools, meaningful employment and opportunities to build their futures here in Missouri. I will work to ensure veterans and military families have the real support that they have earned here at home.
No one should be overlooked because of where they live. I believe every community deserves safe roads, reliable infrastructure, clean waster, responsible growth and the opportunity to prosper with out sacrificing the values and natural resources that make rural Missouri a wonderful place to call home. Thoughtful planning today helps ensure a stronger tomorrow for our children and grand children.
Government exists to serve the people- not the other way around. Full Stop. I believe in transparent, accountable leadership with taxpayer dollars. I have a history of respecting serving taxpayer dollars with long term interest of communities. My commitment is to be accessible, and to never lose sight of the people of District 124 seen and unseen. Hard work has demands and working hard produces where that work went.
